Description
This wonderful Sterling Silver Fruit Knife carries the makers mark for Martin Hall & Co, assayed in Sheffield with the 'V' date letter for 1863 as well as a Victorian duty mark. The handle is made from Mother of Pearl with fine pique decoration with two sun burst like patterns on the front either side of a cartouche which is framed by tiny little silver dots. The cartouche on the handle looks to carry the name 'Nina' . It really is very beautiful. * AGE - 1863 * CONDITION - This fruit knife is in very good condition with no chips to the silver that I can see although there are some small little 'pit like' marks to the end of it which can best be seen in the second and third photos. And it opens out and closes easily * DIMENSIONS (Approx) - Open Length 14.5cm, Closed Length 8cm, Width 2cm * POSTAGE - All items include the cost of packing and postage to the UK.
