Large Trench Art Shell Case Stick Stand

Description

A large WW1 era German brass shell case made into a stick or umbrella stand. It is a beautiful piece of trench art with a flared wavy rim and the body has been decorated with oak leaves and acorns. It is fully stamped on the base with the details of the shell "196. Polte. Aug 10. Magdeburg".
It is in very good condition. There are some minor surface marks and knocks and some small dinks but no major damages and it displays well. It has been lightly cleaned and polished to retain its patina and is ready for use.
