Description
A wonderful pair of small glass decanters, dating from the Georgian Regency period. These lovely examples are of Indian Club shape, with lightly inverted bases and polished pontil marks. Each decanter is hand gilded to both the body and the stopper with shield cartouches, one featuring Hollands and the other Brandy. Both retain the original lozenge stopper with the capital initial of the contents, to the front and back. Excellent, usable examples and a great gift idea. Dimensions below. There is very minor loss to the gilding and a small flaw in the neck, shown in photo and commensurate with age and use. Origin :- Anglo/Irish. Date :- c1810. Height :- 23.2 cms.
