Description

A very nice quality English Victorian antique solid sterling silver flagon, jug or bottle. The silver is hallmarked for London 1857 with the maker being GR over EB. It has been superbly made and interestingly engraved with the crest of the Dalrymple Family, inside it reads To W Dalrymple Esq from C Dycer MD 1857 - I do not know what this refers to but should be researchable. It in superb condition being free from dings splits chips cracks and repairs. It measures approx. 8 inches (20cm) tall to the top of the thumb plate by 4.75 inches across the body and weighs 580 grams. A very nice quality piece.
