Description

Gents 1960s Royce automatic wrist watch.
The watch has a 25-jewel automatic movement, AS 1700/01, which is working nicely. The brand name Royce was registered by several companies between the 1930s and the 1960s.
The watch measures 33mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is chrome plated while the screw-on case back is stainless steel. The front and sides of the case are in good condition, the back of the watch has some wear around the opening to the movement.
The back of the watch says the watch is waterproof but, as with any vintage watch, it should be kept away from water and moisture.
The lens is in lovely condition.
The signed dial is in its original finish with original hands, centre seconds hand and a roulette date display (this is an early form of quickset date where the hands are repeatedly moved backwards and forwards between 12 midnight and 8pm until the desired date is reached).
A new leather strap has been fitted.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.

Due to Customs regulations, we are unable to send watches / precious metals to certain countries. If you are unsure about your country’s regulations, please contact us and we can check for you. Any orders from prohibited countries will be refunded, less any Paypal fees which are non-refundable.
All of our watches are checked over before listing, and are also checked for accuracy which is usually within around +/- two to three minutes over 24 hours (unless otherwise stated), which is considered respectable for a vintage watch.
We are a VAT registered company and all purchases are covered by Consumer Regulations.
