Description

An exquisite early Victorian "Giardinetti" basket of flowers brooch.  This incredible antique brooch is crafted in solid silver with the basket component in 9ct gold. We love the contrast of the soft rose gold basket against the silver flowers in the basket. Each flower bouquet has a beautiful array of paste gemstones cut in a way to mimic real Diamonds. This brooch would look amazing pinned to your favourite coat or jumper.
"Giardinetti" is the Italian word for “little gardens”, and in the world of antique jewellery, it refers to delicate basket-of-flowers motifs popular in the 18th and early 19th centuries, particularly during the Georgian and early Victorian eras.
These brooches are small, beautifully detailed pieces that depict a tiny bouquet or flower basket — often bursting with blossoms, foliage, and sometimes ribbons — all rendered in precious metals and colourful gemstones.
This brooch comes presented in a Millys Marvel's gift box hand tied with green satin ribbon.  All other boxes are for display purpose only.
