A late 19th century (Meiji period) Japanese Okimono bronze Rhinoceros Beetle with hinged articulated wing case, opening to reveal a small storage space inside. Finely detailed throughout and in perfect condition.
Signed to the base. See image.
Dated: c.1890-1900.
