Description

A George V era pair of silver napkin rings with clear hallmarks for Birmingham 1912 and makers mark for The Gorham Manufacturing Co. The napkin rings have a waisted concave shape a d are embellished with four wavy line bands with a vacant shield for initials or crest. The rims are raised in relief with an egg and dart pattern. They are housed in their original box with the Belfast retailer’s name, David Mitchell Ltd, under a crown, gilt printed in the lid. Due to the crown, presumably this jeweller benefited from some royal patronage. Excellent condition.
