Description

A large Victorian decorative turned and carved walnut cased wheel barometer with skeletonised movement, fully serviced and working c.1890. The broad turned solid walnut case with high quality carving to the front. Porcelain dial with weather predictions sat around the outer edge, visible skeletonised movement set to the centre. Polished brass bezel with inset quarter plate bevelled edge glass and central reading marker sat over the dial. Superb quality and condition, fully serviced and working with a rich polish to the case. Keep up to date via Instagram - sturmansantiques. Measures 11.5" diameter overall with a 7" dial diameter x 1.75" deep x 12.75" high including hanging loop.
