Description

A lovely and unusual Edwardian wine jug or flagon decanter in cranberry glass. This charming piece has a barley-twist applied handle and the original hallmarked silver stopper. The jug has a pouring lip and engraved star etched patterns, with acanthus wreaths. The stopper has a cork base and ball knop and the domed base has a polished pontil mark. Cranberry glass is always in demand and this lovely example is as decorative as it is practical. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Excellent, with no chips or cracks. The silver top is undamaged with wear to the cork, commensurate with age and use.
