Description

This small and exquisite novelty silver pin cushion in the form of an elephant was made by the prolific Adie & Lovekin and dates circa 1900. It is fitted with its original blue velvet cushion.
Hallmarks:
ALLD for Afdie & Lovekin.
Lion Passant.
Date letter erased
Birmingham Assay mark.
Dimensions:
Length up to tail: 3.5cm / 1.3 inches.
Height: 2.5cm / 1 inch.
Width: 1.5cm / 0.4 inches.
Condition:
Silver casing in reasonable condition with a couple of minute creases and the eye on one side erased from polishing.
Cushion in good condition.
Sits firmly on its legs.
No repairs.
Original velvet cushion.
