Description

This lovely Early 19th Century Antique English Georgian Mason's Patent Ironstone China Vase, decorated in "Japan" style,  has sadly lost its cover, but nevertheless remains a beautiful example of the genre, and is certain to add lustre to any collection. The body, of hexagonal form,  decorated in "Japan" style, and with two sinuous gilded handles, rises from a round foot, the underside of which bears the standard printed MASON'S PATENT IRONSTONE CHINA mark in black. For similar examples cf. "Godden's Guide to Mason's China and the Ironstone Wares", A.C.C. 1980.
