Size: 2ft 6in x 2ft 0in (75 x 60cm).
Antique Baluch storage bag with weft work design.
Circa 1900.
This fine storage bag (possibly once 1/2 of a pair of saddle bags), is by the Taimani Baluch of western Afghanistan. The face is decorated with complex bands of weft work designs, the original back is of striped plain weave.
The bag is in excellent condition with very slight wear from tribal use.
