Description

A small teak military box with a hand painted emblem for the Cheshire Regiment. It's dated 1917 and has a hand written note on the bottom of the box "Made from Vessel...Torpedoed in North Sea". The hinged lid opens to a plain interior. It is good quality with a lovely rich colour and small bun feet.
It is in good condition for its age and displays well. There are signs of age and use, some general knocks, marks and a small shrinkage split but no major damages and nothing detrimental. The interior is generally clean and tidy although it was once lined and there are some remnants of glue and fabric left. It does not come with a key. The box has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
