Description

A charming Victorian white opaline glass scent bottle with silver hinged lid. The lid is of repousse design and opens to reveal the original glass peg stopper. The 'penny' shaped body is of flattened circular form and very tactile. A fine collector's item and usable piece. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Excellent, with no splits, dents or breaks to the silver and no chips or cracks to the glass. There are a couple of tiny pinprick blemishes to the body, commensurate with age and use.
Hallmarks :- None present (not unusual for Victorian scent bottles). Tests as silver.
Date :- C1880.
Height :- 5.75 cms.

Depth :- 1 cms.
