Antique Japanese Lacquered Box

Description

A lovely lacquered box dating from the early 20th Century. It has a black lacquered finish decorated with traditional imagery of rabbits and foliage. The hinged lid opens to a plain interior.
The piece is in good condition for its age and displays well. There is some wear and rubbing to the lacquer in places, a couple of minor shrinkage splits and general signs of age and use but nothing detrimental. The hinges are in good order and the interior is clean and tidy.
