Charming 19th Century Watercolour by A. (Alfred) Mitchell in Original Frame with Gallery Part Label for A. & F. Ponzini & Co. 22 Hatton Garden, E.C.
The Painting is Dated 88 and the Frame for A. Jones Esq for 1896.
Height 12.5in or 32cm
Width 17in or 43cm
Depth 2in or 5cm
The Painting is of Rugged River Valley with Boulders and Tree Lined Banks.
Alfred Mitchell Exhibited Between 1894 and 1904.
Four Times at the Royal Academy. Where in 1896 his 'Westerly Breeze, Silly Rocks Sold.
Born in 1861 in Colyton Devon, he was a Marine & Landscape Painter based Lipson, Plymouth 1894; Mullion Cornwall 1897; Yelverton Devon 1904.
