Description

A handsome and large silver table spoon, assayed at the sought after Newcastle Office.. This lovely 18th Century example is in Old English pattern and has the engraved initial 'C' to the top front. The ribbed handle terminates in a long 'heel' and the large capacity renders the spoon suitable as a serving piece. English Provincial silver is always in demand and this is an interesting collector's item, still usable today. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Excellent, with no dents or splits. The bowl tip is good.
Hallmarks :- Clear and readable, with softening to the town mark.
Date :- Newcastle 1780.
Maker :- John Langlands & John Robertson.
Length :- 23 cms.
Bowl width :- 5 cms.
Depth :- 1.5 cms.
