Title: Cornwall
Date of publication: Circa 1840. Exact edition unconfirmed.
Surface: Paper, engraved map.
Details: An original decorative county map of Cornwall by Thomas Moule. Shows Truro, Penzance, Falmouth, Bodmin, Launceston and surrounding towns and villages, with roads, railways, rivers and county divisions. Includes an inset map of the Scilly Isles, heraldic arms and a decorative view of Land’s End with the Eddystone Lighthouse.
An attractive Victorian map for collectors of Cornwall, Cornish history or coastal subjects, or for framing.
Condition Report: Fair antique condition. General age-related toning, foxing and staining, particularly around the margins and edges. There is noticeable edge wear with small tears and losses, especially along the lower edge, together with light creasing and handling marks. Reverse shows further spotting and staining. The engraved image remains clear and highly decorative. Supplied unframed. Please inspect photographs for full details.
