Trio of Gilt Metal Ormolu Style Winged Cherub Putti Wall Lights – Rococo Revival
Brief Description:
A fabulous and wonderfully decorative set of three gilt-metal, ormolu-style wall light fittings, each beautifully modelled as a flying winged cherub or putto in the exuberant Baroque and Rococo Revival tradition.
These delightful figures are full of character and movement, with their wonderfully expressive faces, finely detailed curly hair, feathered wings and elegantly flowing drapery.
Each cherub is depicted in flight, with one arm gracefully outstretched whilst the other is raised to support a beautifully formed, trumpet-shaped light fitting.
The figures retain their attractive golden finish, with subtle variations in tone and areas of darker patination that beautifully accentuate the sculptural detailing.
