Description

Beautiful Vintage Miniature Oil Portrait Painting of a Victorian Lady – Framed
Brief Description:
This is a beautiful original mid-20th-century miniature Oil on Panel Portrait Painting, depicting an elegant young lady dressed in traditional 19th-century Victorian-style attire.
The charming composition portrays a graceful young woman with delicate facial features, rosy cheeks and beautifully arranged dark, cascading curls.
She wears a magnificent emerald-green bodice with delicate gold embellishments, puffed sleeves and white lace detailing, complemented by a rose-coloured skirt and an elegantly draped black shawl.
A dainty black ribbon necklace and delicate bracelet complete her fashionable appearance.
The sitter is depicted against a subdued, atmospheric background, allowing the richness of her clothing and her beautifully rendered complexion to take centre stage.
The portrait is particularly appealing for its fine decorative detailing, attractive period character and wonderfully harmonious colour palette.
The painting is housed within a superb, substantial gilt-and-silver-toned moulded frame, featuring decorative inner ornamentation and a beautifully aged finish.
