Description

This is an Edwardian hallmarked sterling silver hand mirror. It was assayed in Birmingham in 1904 and made by Williams Ltd. It has allover repousse decoration depicting masks, birds, scrolls and tendrils of acanthus leaves. It has a circular bevelled mirror plate. The back is monogrammed.
The mirrored plate is in good general order apart from some small scuffs and marks to the surface. Unfortunately the silver is quite worn and there are many raised areas where the silver has holes in. There are also a number of dents. When you move the mirror, you can hear the original filling moving around inside. There has been a solder repair around the handle.
