Description

An impressive pair of Edwardian silver grape scissors with good clear hallmarks for Sheffield 1907 and maker’s mark for Cooper Bros and Sons.
The grape scissors are beautifully modelled and cast, with elaborate but refined bright cut and pierced decoration all over the upper side. The decoration incorporates the Georgian era inspired acanthus leaf and scrolls, a wreath, as well as other patterns. The reverse is smooth and shiny, with clear full hallmarks on one shaft and the lion passant silver mark on the other.
Essential for scissors, these are sharp and cut well - see photo of cut card.
Classy and beautiful, excellent condition comes with original royal blue velvet and silk lined box.
